Welcome to the Oregon Online Architectural Guide, an educational reference for identifying architectural materials, styles, and forms found in Oregon. The Oregon Online Architectural guide is based largely on the Oregon State Historic Preservation Office's (SHPO) "Codes for the Oregon Historic Sites Database," which is found in their new and free "Guidelines for Conducting Historic Resource Surveys in Oregon." While the online guide is not meant to be a comprehensive list of all building materials, architectural styles, and forms found throughout the state, it is designed to be a constantly changing and dynamic reference tool. With the help of historic preservationists across the state, it is the hope that the Oregon Online Architectural Guide will continue to grow and become an invaluable educational resource.
